How the journey began.
The family photo album is where it all started. During my childhood I would spend countless hours flipping through, captivated by family, culture and style, reminiscing on some who had passed and the unknown faces who I felt compelled to know. Each picture evoked a sense of wonder, the enigma was encouraging, leading me to unravel or create the stories that lay beyond the frame.
What struck me most was the timelessness of these photographs. No matter how many years passed by, the subjects remained forever young and still in the confines of the album.
Despite the many careers I explored after leaving school, my curiosity around photography & film making never left me.
Fuelled by this fervour, I pursued a degree in photography, honing my skills and graduating with honours. It was during my time at Lumix, a brand of Panasonic, that my love for motion evolved.
I discovered the art of storytelling through film, I found a way to combine my passion for capturing moments with the power of narrative and bringing the vision to life.
In my work, I manoeuvre between working with emerging talents, who are in the process of shaping their own unique identities, and helping established businesses to document their stories.
For me, the art of making history revolves not only around the final outcome but also the entire project experience and process. Driven by the notion of "Let's Make History," this phrase has become a guiding force during my journey as a film maker –the power of capturing moments and making them immortal through my lens.
